Hi,
Can anyone help a very un-tech minded person! I'm trying to connect artisan to a W6A
giesen.
The Giesen profiling software on laptop is already connected via Ethernet cable to the
roaster. Does anyone know how I can connect to a different laptop with Artisan already
downloaded on it.
Will it work via the same Ethernet cable or is other hardware? Possibly dumb questions but
I'm very old school when it comes to tech stuff!

The Giesen roasters hardware is not directly support by Artisan. A lot of people purchase
a Phidgets 1048 (or 1046 for the experts) and add extra thermocouples (the experts replace
the existing one by dual probes).
Some Giesen roasters (those with Moeller electronics; the new ones seem to use Siemens or
something else) will soon be supported directly (connection via that Ethernet cable), but
only on the Windows platform.
