It’s been a while since I used Windows. Sounds like Windows has trouble multitasking, due to hardware. Do you have any other program active? On your computer it might help to shut down every program except Artisan and keep Artisan open on your desktop all the time during a roast. Also, do you have any other hardware devices connected (usb) to the computer at the same time? Try having only the bare necessities connected that you need to run Artisan (like Amprobe or Phidget, which do you use exactly?)
