Both smoothing algorithms are always on, the one that operates during the roasting
recording, which does not know the future and thus adds a time shift) and the one after
the roasting. Both use the same settings "Smooth Curves", "Smooth
Deltas", and "Delta Span" (assuming you unticked "Smooth2" which
would activate another rather experimental smoothing algorithm). Especially this
"Delta Span" thing, while being effective, adds considerable to the time shift.
Just reduce the values on all three parameters ("Smooth Curves" should anyhow be
1 or maximum 2) until you see what you would like to see. Putting everything to 0 just
shows the raw recorded data and all the "natural" noise you have on your system.
On some systems one can get a useful RoR in that case, on others not.

I’ve played with the settings … esp on the “Extras” … I can’t easily seem to find it
How do I stop the additional “smoothing” of the RoR curve when I save it … so it looks
like it did when I roasted it … can’t seem to find the magic box to uncheck or setting to
Thanks … Steve Egge
