Dear Artisan user group;
I have received an error I have not seen before using a Mac with the latest solfware : Sierra with a 64 bit system.
We have installed the CP210 driver with our data logger using Omron controls.
Here is a screen shot:
Modbus Error: Read float() hex() argument can't be converted to hex@line 30521
Could it be we have the wrong driver installed?
We use to use the FT232 driver but data driver was upgraded to a new model that has worked with the CP210 driver on most models (this data logger is setup for future use with Bluetooth capabilities)
Thank You;
Randy Harper
Hi,
On the device page https://artisan-scope.org/devices/meters/
I read that the optically isolated Victor 86B is compatible with Scope,
while others say Scope do not work with USB HID devices, such as the Victor
DMM....
My Victor 86B shows up in the device manager under USB HID devices in win 7.
In Artisan 2.0.0 Scope config devices is set to Meter/Victor 86B after
which a port config window appears to select a com port.
I have installed the CP210X driver, and would expect a virtual comport to
show up, when the Victor 86B is connected, but that does not seem to happen.
Any suggestions to cure the problem, please let me know.
Alternatively, for two K-type sensors, which optically isolated solution is
the choice for Artisan Scope 2.0.0, please.
Thanks in advance,
Henrik
Hi
I am trying to figure out what is the best way to prevent fan from being
turned off while in control mode. i am afraid will not be enough
ventilation of smoke
while chasing temperature with full burner while no fan
Usually my fan minimum volts consumption is 5 volts on the scale 0-100
it is 19 so if i put 19 as minimum scale limit and the fan turned off will
be on -19
will it be enough or there is a better solution?
regards
Guy

Hi Guy, you can set the lower limit to 19 and set up events events to specifically set the voltage output to anything in the output range. I use a 0-10v range which is the default for the OUT1001 and a min of 3.8v for the slider setup.

Hello,
where can i see ror change in degrees after roast
the data in properties gives reading every 2 seconds
but hard for me to see the ror difference.
every 30 seconds is good for me.
attached part of the data in properties
and for reference cropster table (not same roast)

Hi. Thanks so much for the awesome software.
I'm running 2.4.0, on a Macbook with OS 10.15.5. I installed the current phidgets driver also.
I'm getting -1 errors on the BT and sometimes BT and ET. tried restarting computer, reinstalling artisan, going back a version but it seems to not be working.
What should I look for to start making sure the software is all set up correctly?
I should say It's been working fine most of this year, but sometimes will give the -1 error. Usually I'll restart computer, and only have artisan open and it works again. This time non of that helps.
Thanks!
i own a small (500 g) Huky roaster and until a few days ago was using an
older version of artisan to log my roast profiles. I was having issues
with my laptop which was running win7, so I did a complete wipe and
installed windows 10. I downloaded the latest artisan but now I'm lost
and confused. At first it opened ArtisanViewer. I have no idea what this
is and can't find anything online about it. In getting very frustrated and
about to give up and find a different program. is there a video or text
tutorial anywhere??? please help!!
thank you,
Carlos
Recently the batch numbers reset to 0 and started counting up again. I try
to change it back, but it won't stick. How can I set the Batch counter
back to the correct number? Config...Batch... is not working.
Dennis
Hi,
Just wondering if we can potentially use Artisan Plus to analyse or refer
back to roast profiles, cupping, etc.
