I have a proportion valve with a 0-5v driver on my roaster, has anyone used a similar setup with artisan? Just curious what you’d recommend? I was looking at the OUT1002_0 16bit Output Phidget. I also have a Dwyer DH3 differential pressure gauge that I have for logging the gas pressure. I presume there is a way to utilize the input pressure readings and the gas output through artisan?

Anyone with a similar setup able to communicate between machine and Mac? I went back to Vers. 2.12 and everything works fine. Checked my settings and they transferred over and stayed the same in 2.4.2. Super user was on, sliders and button changes had no effect in fact the lcd on the Hottop never lit up.
That sounds good! Let us know if it’s sorted for you (and how), then others may be encouraged on their paths as well ;-)

On the device page https://artisan-scope.org/devices/meters/
I read that the optically isolated Victor 86B is compatible with Scope,
while others say Scope do not work with USB HID devices, such as the Victor
My Victor 86B shows up in the device manager under USB HID devices in win 7.
In Artisan 2.0.0 Scope config devices is set to Meter/Victor 86B after
which a port config window appears to select a com port.
I have installed the CP210X driver, and would expect a virtual comport to
show up, when the Victor 86B is connected, but that does not seem to happen.
Any suggestions to cure the problem, please let me know.
Alternatively, for two K-type sensors, which optically isolated solution is
the choice for Artisan Scope 2.0.0, please.
Thanks in advance,

Before you uninstalled a version that worked, you will have saved all your settings like this, under Help -> Save Settings...
Then later you can do Help -> Load Settings and select any of the saved configurations that worked.
If you merely uninstall and re-install, there is a possibility that you will need to do the configuration from scratch.
When upgrading, I normally do not first uninstall but I merely copy the new app over the old one, replacing it, and if it appears some settings are affected, I re-load the latest Settings file that I have saved from the folder holding all my settings files.
i know this is old thread, but I have just successfully connected Sonofresco 1kg/2lb roaster to Artisan Scope.
Three thermocouples: one in airflow from burner positioned below roasting jug (probe 1) , one in roasting jug (probe 2) , and one in exhaust next to Sonofresco probe (probe 3) . Also, installed manometer to read and log gas pressure with take off from inbuilt regulator. I have also bypassed the problematic chaff screen and installed a chaff cyclone as varying amounts of chaff against the screen played havoc with temp around development time. I have put in bypass switches to ensure they Sonofresco software cannot cut in on fan or burner.
I control heat via needle valve on gas intake line. The job is done by keeping heat (probe 1) around 76 deg C above bean temp (probe 2) all the way with needle valve. Fantastic roasts now!
I have been using Artisan for a short while with a W15A, It was working
awesome and I was about to switch over completely until last week the
software stopped reading the roaster outputs.
Nothing has changed in my setup or the laptop I am using, I uninstalled and
re-installed 2.4 today and still have the connection issue, i imagine it is
on my side with a setting of some kind. I am getting an error code when I

I'm new to using roasting software and am trying to figure out how to get
this up and running. I installed the FTDI chip driver to my Mac and I
configured Artisan for my Proaster THCR. It's saying that there is a modbus
communication error, but I'm not sure what is causing this.
