Configuring Artisan for a Mill City 1kg roaster

We used artisan successfully for the last three years, then either our phidget or the connecting cord went out, so we replaced them both. I upgraded our artisan software as well as the latest phidget software, yet all we can get is a straight vertical line moving across our screen. I've checked with Mill City and they said all you have to do is configure the device and pick Phidget, but that hasn't solved our problem. We've played with all the settings but cannot get anything more. Any suggestions? Thanks.
