Hi,
On the device page https://artisan-scope.org/devices/meters/
I read that the optically isolated Victor 86B is compatible with Scope,
while others say Scope do not work with USB HID devices, such as the Victor
DMM....
My Victor 86B shows up in the device manager under USB HID devices in win 7.
In Artisan 2.0.0 Scope config devices is set to Meter/Victor 86B after
which a port config window appears to select a com port.
I have installed the CP210X driver, and would expect a virtual comport to
show up, when the Victor 86B is connected, but that does not seem to happen.
Any suggestions to cure the problem, please let me know.
Alternatively, for two K-type sensors, which optically isolated solution is
the choice for Artisan Scope 2.0.0, please.
Thanks in advance,
Henrik
I'm relatively new to artisan. Been using RoastLogger for years but now that
I have my phidget 1048 I don't need the camera/ocr feature anymore.
I haven't been able to locate the help file or information about the
settings under Config-Device - Phidgets tab. For instance, Async check
boxes, raw data, change etc. I've found everything on the github page, but
maybe I just haven't been successful in pinpointing the proper area to look.
Secondly- I'm roasting on a Diedrich IR-24, which has a thicker J
thermocouple than the one I've hooked up to artisan, which is a K type 1/8in
I purchased here:
https://www.automationdirect.com/adc/Shopping/Catalog/Sensors_-z-_Encoders/T
emperature_Sensors_-a-_Transmitters/Thermocouple_Sensors/Probes_(with_Lead_W
ire_Transition)/THMK-T06L06-01
The temperatures are around 30 degrees F higher on the thinner K
thermocouple than what the roaster is reporting, even though my
thermocouples in the roaster are mounted next to each other (didn't want to
piggyback on BT of the roaster to phidgets)
Does anyone have any experience in this area? Perhaps the simple fact that
the probe is thinner means the readings will be different, but I do not
know. It would appear that the readings on the roaster are accurate while
the other is much hotter.
Just getting started, and appreciate any guidance.
Hello
i understand that phidget TMP1101_0
<https://www.phidgets.com/?tier=3&catid=14&pcid=12&prodid=726> - 4x
Thermocouple Phidget can be configured with tools menu to control et
temperature
what if i want to add out 1001 12 bit to control proportional valve
do i have to add slider commands ? i did not find this phidget in the menu
also regarding phidget out 1100 4x digital if i would like to control fan
with it where do i add it in Artisan and how?

Guy

Wasnt sure how this mailing list worked! There is very little information
obvious and apparent regarding the yocto. I didnt expect it to be as "plug
and play" as it was. But there's nothing I've found with regards to
dialling it in.
I've attached as many as I can. Apologies for potato quality. There are no
installed internet drivers on the laptop, right now. So my only real option
is to share photos from my phone.
Due to the limit on gmail, if you need images from the other screen, please
let me know: everything else is as standard, as it would be from fresh
install.

Hi there,
We experienced a bug in v2.1, that when 1st crack was marked, the screen
seemed to have trouble refreshing. All graphs recorded since a previous
event (DE) was recorded would flash on and off.
This would result in all information since, for eg, DE, would disappear
then reappear. Maximising the window, then restoring down would reset the
bug for a few seconds, but it would reappear again.
We downgraded back to 2.0, which had the Excel batch report generating bug
but graphing worked fine.
We have today used v2.1.1 for the first time, and experienced the same
screen refresh bug again after 7 roasts.

Chris Pefanis
Hi there,
I've recently ordered and received a Yocto Thermocouple, with the intention
of using it with artisan:
Today I've hit a few snags. Could you possibly provide either a guide, or
the programs necessary to get this working please?
I will be starting from scratch as it was picking up readings (of 10-18
degrees with Delta BT of -60 :S) during my preheat routine. After this and
some fiddling I got it to read -1 degree consistently.
Virtual Hub was reading temperatures fine - but I've seen mixed information
as to whether or not the two ""play" together. otherwise, I'm struggling to
find information specific to Yocto and Artisan.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
Kind regards,
Calvin
I discovered this module that attaches directly to a standard SSR and makes
it a proportional controller. A control voltage range of 0-5 vdc (or
0-10vdc) in produces a phase angle output 25-100% 110 vac.
https://nuwaveautomation.com/product/solid-state-relay-phase-angle-control-…
My question is can I use this in conjunction with with a Phidget OUT1000_0
and VINT hub controlled by Artisan PID to control the heating element
(and/or blower) in a home made fluid bed roaster?
Thanks for your input,
Dan
