Hi,
I just recently acquired a Probat LG-3. I understand you have also such a beautiful machine. I need to restore and rebuild the Probat from electrical to gas. Is it possible to share experiences on roasting and roaster automation?
Cheers,
Piet
Hi.
It looks like you are running your cpu at full power. You can select a longer sampling rate in the menu Config/Sampling Interval... Try for example 3 seconds
instead of one second. This will make the computer work three times
less.
With the current libraries, any text displayed (annotations) makes the software think more when updating the image. The more text displayed the slower it runs. So, if you load a background showing a lot of text, then it will take longer (more power) to draw the image. It helps if you have the events in value mode as the background events are displayed as lines instead of text.
Cheers

Subject: [Artisan-user] Clock jumped back and slow response
Greetings all,
I have just had a strange glitch where the clock jumped back 30s, and I ended up with a reverse-zig on my graph!
Also - I can't run Artisan in manual mode with a background loaded. I tried changing to 'events by value' as described below, but the reaction of the software is just too slow to use that function. With a background loaded, the clock only updates every 2sec, and if i click a button for an event, it can take up to 10sec to respond. I want to buy an Arduino interface, but only if the reaction time will improve with a live input?
I am using a Artisan 0.5.4 on a P4 3Ghz PC with 2Gb Ram and Win7
Thanks,
Chris Pefanis
